Minnesota Timberwolves

Meeting the Timberwolves for the final time

What is there to say about the Timberwolves that hasn't been said already. With it being so dang early, the Warriors will probably sleepwalk through the majority of the game and then turn it on in the last minute when they are losing to win the game on clutch shots by Jackson or Davis. Wolves vs Warriors Part 3

The Western Conference is tough. How tough? The ninth place team in the West could be the fourth place in the East. Utah is the ninth team at 22-17. The Warriors, in 8th place, are at 22-16. So in essence, Warriors better win out if they plan on making the playoffs.

Which brings us to this current road trip. The first opponent is the down and out Minnesota, followed by the beatable Indiana, Chicago, and Milwaukee. Preferably, the Warriors should go 4-0 on the roadtrip. Realistically, they may fall to Chicago and go 3-1.

How about them Blazers?

The reason for the Golden State Warriors not recieving the national attention they should be getting has just leapfrogged them in the standings--the Portland Trailblazers.

The Blazers play a similar style of basketball as that of the Warriors but they do it more efficiently and effectively. On the offense side of the ball, the players on the court are not selfish and make repeated back door cuts to the basket in attempts to get open. The players do not settle for three-point shots and takes what the defense gives them. On the defensive side of the ball, they play a lot of zone. And I mean A LOT! With their length at each position and the addition of Greg Oden next year, the team is going to be scary good for a long time.

KG is gone, gone, gone!

The Timberwolves are probably the least attended game when they play on the road. They also have the worst record in the league, so they could have the lowest attendance at home as well.

So the Warriors should have an easy time of it tonight, right?

Not bloody likely.
