Roger Clemens Under Fire in Congress


Roger Clemens appeared before the Congressional Committee this morning to determine his involvement outlined in the Mitchell Report. In the report, Clemens' trainer Brian McNamee told investigators he had injected Clemens with HGH a number of times in the past while in Toronto and immediately thereafter.

After the release of the report, Clemens heatedly denied any use of steroids or HGH.

In a shocking revelation, Andy Pettite, a close friend of Clemens and fellow training partner, told the Congressional committee that in a conversation, Clemens had told him he took HGH. The committee asked Petitte a number of times to determine the truthfulness of his statement and Petitte confirmed his clear recollection.

The Mitchell Report: Hit or Miss?


The Mitchell Report was released earlier today on the steroid issue affecting the MLB for the past few years.

Rumors were rampant prior to the release of the report, with big names floating around such as Pujols, Ortiz, or Arod. But neither of those three were listed in the report. Instead, we recieved names of average to below-average players, many of which were from previously known lists. The only big names were Clemens, Petite and Tejada.

So, was this report a hit? Or a miss?
