The game last night against the Sacramento Kings was a game that the Warriors in the past would have lost. All game long, the referees called some bullshit fouls against the Warriors. Jackson and Davis became very frustrated with the refs and were T'd up. You could see the team was about to blow up.
But when the 4th quarter rolled around, the Warriors upped the defensive pressure on the Kings limiting them to shooting just 2 for 25 in the final period. In the closing minutes of the game, Biedrins had a monster block on a Martin dunk. Jackson promptly nailed two 3s to seal off the win.
Prior to those two 3s, the Warriors were 6 for 22 from downtown. The 2-3 zone employed by the Kings confused the Warriors, luring them into chucking 3s instead of driving into the lane.
However, the Warriors played some of the best defense I've seen in the squad. They didn't just play defense in spurts but throughout the entire game, stopping the Kings from pulling away. This type of growth shown by the Warriors makes the future for the club very promising.
Tonight, the team faces off against the Houston Rockets who won the night before against the Phoenix Suns. Yao played 40 minutes and McGrady 35 minutes. They should be tired for the game against the Warriors. With the backing of their fans, the Warriors should run Houston off the court.
Lineups:
Golden State Warriors
Starting lineup: Davis, Jackson, Barnes, Harrington, Biedrins
Bench: Pietrus, Ellis, O'Bryant, Croshere, Mbenga, Azubuike, Hudson
Inactive: Perovic (dleague), Belinelli (inactive), Wright (inactive)
VS
Houston Rockets
Starting lineup: Alston, McGrady, Battier, Hayes, Ming
Bench: Scola, Francis, Head, James, Wells, Mutombo, Snyder
Inactive: Landry, Brooks, Novak
Keys to the Game
Front Yao, deny the entry pass. Close out on their 3pt shooters. Make McGrady work on defense and hope the 3 shots are falling at home.
Prediction
Houston just played the Suns the day before so they should be tired when they face the Warriors. Warriors are built to run so they should be able to run Yao off the court, 109-102.

RE: Warriors face the Rockets with the 8th playoff spot on the l
The Rockets are coached by Rick Adelman now. Adelman used the fast tempo, running offense back when he coached Sacramento, but that hasn't worked that well with the Rockets so far.
The change from a slower Van Gundy offense to an Adelman offense will get a boost tonight, as I am expecting the Rockets to run high tempo with the Warriors all night long.
Warriors win, 124 - 110. Baron will have 22 points, 13 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Yao will have 34 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 7 turnovers.
Adelman offense does not work in Houston
The reason why Adelman's offense isn't working well with the Rockets is because their bigs lack good passing skills. Miller and Webber are good passing big men, you can't say the same for Yao and whoever else is at PF.
RE: Warriors face the Rockets with the 8th playoff spot
Al Harrington played terrific defense on Yao. Monta came up big with 10 rebounds. Baron needs to be on the All-Star team this year with MVP considerations. M-V-P!
