On the Road Again . . .

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life we love is makin' hoops with our 'mates
And we can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' to arenas we played before
Seein' teams we've beaten again,
And we can't wait to get on the road again.

On the road again
Like a band of Warriors we go down the highway
We're the best of 'mates
Insisting the ball be bouncin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life we love is makin' hoops with our 'mates
And we can't wait to get on the road again

And thus the butchering of Willie Nelson's song "On the Road Again" is complete.

Anyhow, it looks like my last prediction of the Nuggets front line dominanting the Warriors was only half-right. However, I will have to mention that Kenyon Martin did not play either game which would have helped them with their energy problems in the second one.

The win in Denver gives the Warriors a 10-7 record, better than their 9-6 home record even. Is it possible to call this team the "Road Warriors"? The moniker can be determined in the next five games when the Warriors face the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, and Portland Trailblazers on the road.

Tonight's opponent is a McGrady-less Houston Rockets. Some may feel this injury would benefit the Warriors but this is not so. The Rockets actually play better when one of their two stars is not in the game. With Yao, the Rockets become a traditional half court team. With McGrady, they are more of a run-and-gun type team. Having both on the court vying for one ball becomes a disaster. So the Warriors will have their hands full with these Rockets.
