KG Trade Rumor Update

The latest reports on Kevin Garnett say a deal is almost done between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Boston Celtics. The rumored deal would involve some combination of Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, draft picks, and Gerald Green.

If completed, the Celtics would have Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett in their starting line-up. Pierce and Allen were injured for a significant part of the season last year, but they can play. The starting point guard for the Celtics would be Rajon Rondo, whom I am not a fan of. The Celtics should bring in a top quality point guard to control the floor.

If these reports are true, that means the Golden State Warriors are out of the KG trade. Chris Mullin has said he does not want to give up Andris Biedrins in a trade for Garnett. The Golden State fans do not want to give up Biedrins, even for Garnett. If Minnesota will not take a trade offer from Golden State without Biedrins, then it looks to be a no-go.

RE: KG Trade Rumor Update

And now we hear talks about getting Gooden. Damn. That is a stiff drop-off. Expecting Garnett, get Gooden. I hope they don't get Gooden. Just go with what we have now.

RE: RE: KG Trade Rumor Update

I really hope they don't make anymore moves except fill out the bench for now. The team is good enough to compete and make the playoffs. They can trade during the middle of the season and still be able to get a good/superstar player to make a title run.
