After dishing out my early picks for Eastern conference All-Stars, here are my picks for the wild West.
Western Conference
Gotta give the nod to B. Diddy! Baron Davis led the scrappy Golden State Warriors team to the greatest upset in NBA history. Boom Dizzle is smoking in at 24.9 points, 9.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks. He also brings in Jessica Alba to the Bay Area.
Next up at guard, we have Kobe Bryant. Throw out all the stuff you hear in the media. Ignore the trade talks. Kobe can ball. Kobe is averaging 27.4 points per game, 7.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. The fans out in Chicago are probably voting for Kobe, because that's the only way the Bulls will have an All-Star this year.
The West has some big time players at the forward positions, including Carmelo Anthony. Melo is a big time scorer and continues to score big even with Allen Iverson on the team. Carmelo is averaging 25.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
Also representing the West is Carlos Boozer. Personally, I hate him because he dominates the Warriors. We are definitely padding his numbers since he played the Warriors twice already, but you can't ignore his 25.9 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. If Boozer gets a few more games against the Warriors, he could be well on his way to a 30 points, 20 rebounds average.
At the Center position, we have... Chris Kaman??? Yao totally got snubbed. Both Kaman and Yao are having a great start to the season, but damn, this is Chris Kaman. Kaman is averaging 18.4 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. Kaman is the best player on the piss-poor LA Clippers team, with Elton Brand and Shaun Livingston out. Kaman's numbers also got padded by playing the Warriors early and often.
