The SF Chronicle reports that Barry Zito showed off a new pitching delivery during spring training. Barry Zito gave up eight runs, again. The San Francisco Giants are now 3-10-1 in preseason exhibition games, the worst in the Majors. We totally suck.
In all fairness, the Giants sucked last year too. They were never a contender. But they still had Barry Bonds and his historical homerun chase. That gave the Bay Area something to watch, something to cheer. This year? I guess we can watch to see how crappy the $128 million Barry Zito plays. Or if we can break the record for most losses by Major League Baseball team ever.
The worst record in the history of MLB goes to the 1899 Cleveland Spider team that went 20-134. Twenty wins. That looks doable for the Giants this year. The worst record in recent times is the 2003 Detroit Tigers, clocking in at 43 wins to 119 losses. The Giants will have to really work hard to get over 43 wins this year.
Maybe it is time to cross the bay and become an Oakland Athletics fan. At least they are 8-5 in spring training.

RE: Barry Zito and the Giants are Sucking
The only games worth seeing are the ones when Matt Cain or Tim Lincecum are pitching. Any other game will most likely be worthless.

Looks like it'll be another shitty season. Draft only Yankees and Red Sox players for fantasy team!
